Fibber Magee signs partnership with Emirates

Fibber Magee’s has entered into a five-year partnership with Emirates Airline and The Sevens Stadium. The Irish pub will act as the main catering provider at the Village by Fibber Magee’s sports facilities.

The alfresco dining area has a permanent viewing deck offering panoramic views of Sevens Park. The Village will include a Costa Café, a Breakfast Bistro, a convenience store and an outdoor bar. There will also be a new ‘Half Time Bar’, a gin and sparkling wine bar located near the netball stand, which has indoor and outdoor seating.

Ross Matthews-Smith, owner of Fibber and co-founder and CEO of MSK Ventures, spoke to Caterer Middle East about the new partnership. He said: “We are honored to have entered into a new five-year contract with Emirates Airline and The Sevens Stadium. Being a key part of such an impressive sports facility is a great privilege and we look forward to implementing our proposed plans on site, to improve the customer experience. Our guests will be able to enjoy a variety of dining outlets throughout the property, with an international menu and an extensive range of beverages. We will continue to serve our award-winning breakfasts and hearty pub fare, while offering an exciting range of healthier options to our customers.

A new pool table has been installed at Sideliners Sports Bar and there will be an ‘Athletes Salad Bar’, where more health-conscious patrons can create their own salads, wraps and jacket potatoes. As well as regular sporting fixtures, Sevens Stadium hosts the annual Rugby 7s Tournament, which sees international teams compete over the course of a weekend. Traditionally one of the biggest days in the emirate’s hospitality calendar, thousands of people descend on the stadium, often in fancy dress, for a weekend of sport and entertainment.
