Jet2, easyJet, TUI, British Airways, Ryanair: latest PCR test costs for green and orange list destinations


If you are traveling abroad this summer, there are a lot of things to remember before and after your trip.

Vacationers should think about booking tests, which means there will be additional costs to add to any trip this year.

The latest changes to the traffic list and the latest changes this summer are expected to be confirmed shortly by Transportation Secretary Grant Shapps.

According to recent reports, Greece and Spain are at risk of being on the red list, while the Czech Republic, Canada, Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina could be put on the green list due to low infection rates in this country.

So far, most of the announcements regarding the changes to the travel lists have come from Mr. Shapps on social media the day before the review due date.

A social media announcement would mean the changes would be made public on Wednesday, August 25, before being heard in the Commons on Thursday.

Any changes will likely be implemented from next Monday (August 30), which includes the last week of school holidays.

And UK holidaymakers should benefit from cheaper travel test packages, as the price of some tests has recently fallen by a fifth.

It is expected to reduce costs for vacationers, and suppliers of “cowboys” are also expected to be targeted as part of a further review.

The cost of NHS Test and Trace tests for international arrivals has been reduced from £ 88 to £ 68 for amber green or fully vaccinated arrivals, and from £ 170 to £ 136 for two tests for amber arrivals that are not fully vaccinated .

Health Secretary Sajid Javid also announced that there will be a rapid internal review of prices and service standards for all providers of day two and day eight tests.

TUI has partnered with government-approved Chronomics Providers to offer test packages to all of its package vacation customers this summer, including TUI River Cruises.

They are available from just £ 20 per person with the cost of delivery and return of tests included in the price.

Jet2 offers a number of options to customers, with discount codes for testing from Collinson and Randox vendors.

The price of your tests really depends on where you’re going, so it’s important to check before you travel.

PCR testing starts at £ 43 each, and lateral flow and antigen testing are also available.

British Airways

Likewise, British Airways also lists a number of different suppliers.

Prices vary depending on the provider and type of test, such as the test to leave the UK, the test to enter the UK, second and eighth day arrivals and the exit test.

EasyJet says the bottom line is that it’s the color of the destination on the day you return to the UK, along with your age and vaccination status, that determines what action you need to take.

The airline is offering discounted Randox and Collinson testing, which means testing will start at £ 43 and £ 55.20 respectively for a pre-travel PCR rest.
